viron-strata

A live, read-only 3D view of a Viron environment, drawn with the Strata engine. Point it at a Viron URL, a token and an environment: it polls Viron's REST API several times a second and shows the grids and entities as a driver (a simulation, a script, a game) changes them, dims the world when Viron stops answering, and lists what is in a picked cell. A headless mode records frames and checks the view against the server. In the browser it plays a recorded run of a real Viron with no server, or watches your own Viron with a read-only token.

How to play

The page opens on a recorded run of a real Viron (Demo): 14 walkers stepping across two 10x10 grids, played back through the viewer's own poll loop, with no server or token. Drag to pan, the wheel or the + and - buttons to zoom, the turn buttons (Q and E) rotate the view and Home (F) frames the grids again. Click or tap a cell to list who is on it, and HUD (Tab) hides the text on the view. Your Viron... watches a Viron of your own: give its URL, an environment and a read-only token (scope viron:read); that Viron must allow this page's origin in VIRON_CORS_ALLOWED_ORIGINS. The page only ever reads, and the token stays in the tab. Needs WebGL 2.
